Dr. Ramon L. Rodriguez received his medical degree (M.D.) from the University of Puerto Rico, Medical Sciences Campus in San Juan, PR, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. Dr. Rodriguez completed his Internship and Neurology Residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch. 

After this, Dr. Rodriguez completed a fellowship in the Medical and Surgical Management of Movement Disorders under the mentorship of Michael S. Okun, MD, Hubert H. Fernandez, MD, and Dr. Kelly Foote, MD, and joined as a faculty at the University of Florida, College of Medicine in Gainesville, Florida. 

During his tenure at UF, Dr. Rodriguez held the position of Director of Clinical Services for the University of Florida Center for Movement Disorders and Neurorestoration and Director of the Clinical Research Center for Neurological Disorders.  Afterward, Dr. Rodriguez held the role of Chief of the Neurology Service at the Orlando VA Medical Center, establishing the Parkinson’s Disease Consortia Site, a Center of Excellence for PD, providing outstanding care to the veteran population with PD in a multidisciplinary approach. He is now the Founding member and Medical Director for Neurology One, the movement disorders clinic of Orlando, FL, providing the best care to people with movement disorders in Central Florida. 

For more than a decade, Dr. Rodriguez has followed his passion for caring for patients with complex movement disorders and cognitive disorders. He was awarded the status of Fellow, American Academy of Neurology, acknowledging his exemplary work and achievements in the neurosciences, the clinical practice of neurology, academic and administrative neurology, in the AAN, and in the community.
